

Spay Day is an annual campaign of The Humane Society of the United States and Humane Society International to inspire people to save animal lives by spaying or neutering pets and feral cats. Officially the last Tuesday of February, Spay Day includes events and activities taking place throughout February across the United States and U.S. territories, and around the world.

The HSUS announces the winner of the Judged Category of the Spay Day Online Pet Photo Contest.

More than 45,000 pet lovers entered their pets photos in second annual contest, which raised more than $550,000 for spay/neuter efforts worldwide. Nearly half of those funds went to local animal organizations; the remaining funds went The HSUS spay/neuter projects. Two top dogs won the judged and fundraising categories.
